Basil (Genovese Purple) – Amethyst Improved

Purple basil producing large 2-3” leaves with intense flavor. 

Container friendly.  If planting in garden, space plants 4-8” apart in rows 18” apart. Water regularly.  Harvest during coolest part of the day after plant has been established.  Leaves can bruise easily so harvest with care.  Do not store harvested leaves below 50 degrees. Cutting the entire plant 4-6” above the ground just before it starts to flower will promote a second growth.
