Butternut Squash – Metro F1 PMR

Excellent storage variety with outstanding flavor.  Medium vine producing uniform butternut squash weighing about 2 ½ - 3 ½lbs.  High powdery mildew resistance.  Stores for about 3 months at 50-55 degrees with good ventilation. 

Space plants 18-24” apart in rows 6’ apart.  Harvest when fruits reach nutty brown color without any green streaks and stems have dried out, becoming woody like.  Leave fruits in sun for 5-7 days allowing skin to cure before storing.
